Hi! My name is Toni and this is my blog on writing prompts. Sometimes inspiration strikes me anywhere, sometimes I badly need a jumpstart. This blog helps with those jumpstarts, when you need a little push. Hopefully the writing prompts open your mind further to new ideas and help encourage you into writing more. A little writing help never hurt!
The Mornington Peninsula in Victoria! Ah, it so beautiful. So wonderfully quiet yet there is some truly majestic scenery to behold.
The little coloured boat huts along the bronzed beaches dotting the bay... some great photos to be had there. I like Mt.Martha the best (or maybe it just called Martha, I forget). Have a coffee afterwards.
Sorrento is very romantic, perfect for a couple getaway (and Tony Pearon sang a song about the moon there... I think it was her!). A picturesque jetty guarded by gulls and pelicans, some cute Italian pizza joints and antique stores. I also recommend booking in for a horse ride through the bush and then on to a beach canter! Exhilarating!
Later on, venture down towards the end of the peninsula. Clamber over London Bridge (bring a journal or a lover) and then go to the very end to see where Harold Holtz disappeared into the unforgiving Bass Strait. On the right day, the wild ocean there makes for an awesome comparison with the calm bay on the other side. At other times you will be fooled into thinking it quite innocent.
Other places I recommend visiting are Stradbroke Island in Brisbane, Byron Bay, Tasmania (Hobart, Richmond and Bruny Island in particular), Melbourne, The Blue Mountains (Katoomba), Fremantle, Denmark (in WA), Paris (especially the Rodin museum), Barcelona, Austria, and a tiny French mountain town called Annecy. Those are all some of my favourite places in the world to date.
Toni youre site is superb I cannot belive I only just discovered it. I have travelled alot and find there are some amazing countries that basically make words spew forth from your pen. Morocco, Scotland and Japan for me, all completely different landscapes and all so beautiful. But i think the one for me was suprisingly new york, i felt like i was in a city built for artists and we were all there to create...
good luck with your adventure...
