The Yellow Notebook
October 11th 2007 02:29
You couldn't help it. It was lying on the sidewalk, its bright yellow color calling out to you.
You couldn't help it. You stood beneath a street lamp and leafed through the pages. They were all blank.
You couldn't help it. You scoured every page looking for clues. Where did this come from? Who owns this notebook? Why are the pages blank?
You were about to close the notebook when raindrops started falling from the sky, dampening the blank pages.
Before your eyes, a word emerged.
"Murder."
More words appeared with each hit of the rain.
You couldn't help it. You continued to read, oblivious to being drenched and the now empty street.
What else was written in the notebook? How does your story progress?

You're curious. You want to know what else is in the notebook.
You pick it up again and read..
MURDER.
Is it a work of fiction or a confession?
If you pick it up and read it, do you become an accessory?
Could the owner of the notebook be watching you now?
Then suddenly you run like you've never run before.
