Hi! My name is Toni and this is my blog on writing prompts. Sometimes inspiration strikes me anywhere, sometimes I badly need a jumpstart. This blog helps with those jumpstarts, when you need a little push. Hopefully the writing prompts open your mind further to new ideas and help encourage you into writing more. A little writing help never hurt!

How about the tram?

I was invited to a poetry reading worshipping Hitler.

A middleaged drunk woman fell on me and smooshed her braless, mesh covered breasts in my face.

An old man had a conversation with me in Italian even though I tried to tell him repeatedly that I didn't understand a word he was saying.

Have been 'courted' by several strange tram goers, most with psychological issues.

I once had a man ask to borrow my mobile phone. I said yes, only to witness him verbally abuse the living daylights out of his girlfriend. I was mortified!

Just last week I had a "blast from the past" on the train. An ex from many years ago (when I was young and naive...) plopped himself down in front of me and said "hello stranger". I replied, very eloquently, "holy shit!" and from that moment on we captured the uninterrupted attention of all our fellow passengers. Although I was highly uncomfortable throughout the entire length of my journey, there were two highlights: 1. When he gave me his number and asked me to catch up for a drink, I said I probably wouldn't call and I definitely wouldn't meet him (his obvious disappointment was highly satisfying) 2. He apologized for the hell he put me through when we were together (I nodded).

Funnily enough, now that I think of it, the train is where we first met!

Mia: You met on the train, and got closer on the train. Sounds like this can be a springboard for a movie idea.
