A princess who's having a secret love affair with a childhood playmate and commoner named John finally decides to make a stand for her love. She realizes that love is beautiful and nothing to be ashamed off and is definitely worth fighting for.
One night she sneaks out to the castle and makes love with her commoner lover for the first time. The following morning when the John woke up he saw the note with the ring saying

"Today I am celebrating my most beautiful birthday ever but it will not mean a thing to me if you are not there. I love you John and tonight I will let the world know that you are the one who owns my heart. Please show this ring to the guards and they will let you into the castle."
