but still I choose to watch
behind leaves and in shadows
between trees and shared vows
I watch silently
and walk away
unnoticed.

The one speaking is the bride's sister who'd rather not be at the the wedding because it reminds her of her own lost love. But she has to because it's a family affair.

She's happy for her sister and her groom but she is constantly reminded of what she once wished for and now cannot be. Her boyfriend of several years left her for another woman and she hasn't moved on yet despite the support of family, her sister and her groom included.

I think it's the bride's ex boyfriend. They're friends but still the guy speaking still has feelings towards the bride.
