Hi! My name is Toni and this is my blog on writing prompts. Sometimes inspiration strikes me anywhere, sometimes I badly need a jumpstart. This blog helps with those jumpstarts, when you need a little push. Hopefully the writing prompts open your mind further to new ideas and help encourage you into writing more. A little writing help never hurt!

I'd rather be anywhere but ________.

C'mon, fill in the blanks!

Where's the last place you'd want to be?

And if you tell us why, you get some free virtual chocolate chip cookies I baked myself.

Last place I'd want to be? It's in the arms of a loved one

Dyanie: Hmmm, I guess I wasn't clear about the question. Heehee. I was thinking where's the last place you'd want to be meaning where's the place you'd want to be in/at the LEAST.

at the moment -- at work!

My lower back's killing me! I have no idea how I can sit to keep my back from hurting because it is simply killing me!

**Hi Toni! haven't visited you in a while

Hazel and dyanie: Looks like the office would be the last place we'd want to be in! I don't blame you. Heehee.

Back in Paris. Sound crazy? Let me be more specific.

Back in a tiny studio apartment in the back streets of a suburb somewhere in Paris. A very old building, filled with character and a lot of stories to tell, I'm sure. The top level, so high up we can peer out the only tiny square window and see all over Paris. We can even see the Eiffel Tower. It's why I came. It's why I climbed seventy-five rickety stairs, around and around until I was dizzy and yet still I climbed.

The apartment belongs to Portugese barman I met in the Latin quarter. I'm trying to recover from a bad breakup back in Australia and so when he asked me for a date, I forced myself to go. I was nervous but he seemed sweet.

A few hours later I am crying and shaking from the ordeal and it is only then that he will unlock the door to let me out. I run and I stumble all the way down the seventy-five rickety steps into the Parisian back alley in the early hours of the morning. I catch the metro home to my girlfriend and she holds me all day, right into the evening.

I am wiser for the experience and I will always love Paris just the same but that tiny studio apartment overlooking the Eiffel Tower? It's the last place I'd want to be.

Anon: Wow, that is quite some story. That gave Paris a totally different character, one that sends shivers down your spine in a bad way.
