Hi Ash! What rose story kept you up?

Would love to hear it. My story would be that the rose was dropped by a lady. A long-time friend of hers proposed to her, and though she felt the same way, she had to pursue other dreams. She's going after a job overseas, and a relationsihp would have kept her from getting that job. And so she turned her friend down, even though her heart whispered otherwise. And all that was left of her was that rose. Poor guy... Thanks for visiting!

ARRRGHHH I never got your comment response. Those Orble gremlins have been busy again!

Love your story idea! Poor guy indeed!

I was sort of thinking along the lines of a man walking his dog in the park one evening, just as the sun sets over the city. it has been raining and there are puddles and that crazy light that is cast through the clouds after the sun comes out after a downpour. He sees a rose lying next to a puddle by the swings and he lifts it up to his nose to smell its delicate fragrance, immediately transported back in time to when he was a wee lad and him and his soulmate would spend their afternoons swinging higher and higher and wishing they could land in the clouds and live together forever.

Maybe the girls family moves away or they simply drift apart... but the rose is all he has of her memory.

Great post look forward to more, more, more!
